SICOE-Liberia was founded since 2014 and is a non-profit national non-governmental and independent organization. We vision a Liberia where no one lives in poverty, experience fear of oppression and is living decent lives.

SICOE-Liberia since 2014 has been focused in the following key thematic areas:


1. Food Security and Nutrition

2. WASH

3. Agriculture Production and Marketing

4. Climate Change/Environmental Protection (Disaster Risks Management)

5. Protection (Child Protection, Gender Equity and response to VAWG)

SICOE works at three levels:


1. At the National level - SICOE advocates and maximizes on resource mobilization.

2. At the Regional level - SICOE works with networks, coalitions and strengthens collaboration.

3. At the County/District/Community level - SICOE engages rights holders directly as active players in decision making for a better wellbeing of their lives that are aligned to national and international developmental standards of living.

SICOE-Liberia is a national non-governmental, non-political organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the elimination of extreme poverty in the poorest communities of Liberia.

SICOE-Liberia as a child right organization is also a champion of nutrition, Village Savings, Loan Association that helps to support the needs of vulnerable children and their parents from time to time.


We vision a Liberia where no-one lives in poverty, fear or oppression; where all have access to a decent standard of living and the opportunities and choices essential to a long, healthy and creative life; a Liberia where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.


Our mission is to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives, which last and spread without ongoing support from SICOE-Liberia. To achieve this mission, SICOE-Liberia engage in long-term development work, build resilience, seek to address the root causes of poverty through our development and advocacy work in the country poorest communities where international organizations have no or limited presence.


We are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of the most vulnerable and excluded children while supporting children’s rights and gender equality in Liberia through multi-program approach.
